Banke Balogun

Health Science: Community Health Science Major

4th year, Senior

Hello fellow Rotaractors! My name is Banke Balogun and I am currently a senior majoring in Health Science. After I graduate in the spring, I plan on attending graduate school to obtain my MPH with a concentration in global health. My future career goal is to one day world for an international health organization such as PAHO or WHO and aid persons living in other countries. In my free time, I enjoy watching Revenge, Pretty Little Liars and The Killing. I also enjoy reading, skimming through fashion blogs, and learning about current global issues. My favorite food (ever since I was five) is definitely Chinese food! I could eat it everyday and never get tired of it. I joined Rotaract because their mission statement "service above self" correlates with my own philosophy of giving back to the community. I feel that it is essential for everyone to be involved in community service because we all have the capability to impact another person's life through it.

Secretary

Kirsten Tablizo

Communication: Public Relations Major

1st year, Freshman

Hi, I'm Kirsten Tablizo and I'm a Communication Studies major. Performing is my life; I love being able to express myself through music and theatre. I sing, act, and play piano, flute, and also some guitar and ukulele as well. In my spare time, I enjoy writing songs and short stories. I also like to act crazy and awkward with friends, because that's just how I am. I have always loved to help people, which is how I easily decided that Rotaract would be perfect for me. I'm from a pretty small town where community service and volunteer work wasn't exactly easy to come by, so I didn't get to help my community nearly as much as I would have liked to. Joining Rotaract gives me an opportunity to make a real difference. My favorite foods are watermelon and potatoes. Not going to lie, if I had to live off only those two things for the rest of my life, I would be thrilled.
